FIREARM TRAINING
枪械
Firearm training at Imperial Combat Arts is an in depth study of gun-battle tactics derived from our long military history. Our Grandmasters served as Imperial Bodyguards, Veterans of the Second Sino-Japanese War (WWII), Vietnam era Special Forces (Green Beret Officer), as well as an instructor today with Iraq War era U.S. military training. Unlike short public courses, this training is a long term mastery of firearms available exclusively to our students, and as part of their standard classes.

TACTICAL HANDGUNSHandguns are one of the most important weapons to master, because of their ease to carry and conceal, and use as a backup weapon. Training starts from the beginning with the basics, safety, stance, grip, trigger control, and marksmanship. Then moves into 9 more levels to mastery with, barricades, advanced postures, gun battle tactics, force-on-force MILSIM, and dynamic shooting courses.

TACTICAL SHOTGUNSImperial Combat Arts students master all aspects of tactical shotgun, from home defense to small unit tactics. This devastating weapon can hit with the equivalency of 8 pistol rounds. With many types of unique ammunition that can be fired through a 12 gauge such as; non-lethal, door breaching, flares, rifled slugs, incendiary, armor piercing, etc. the shotgun is truly one of the most tactical weapons.

SUBMACHINE GUNS
|
The Submachine Gun or Solely Semi Auto versions are Pistol Caliber Carbines designed for close quarters combat with reduced size and lower recoil/mussel blast, sometimes combined with sound suppressors and subsonic rounds. These small, often collapsible weapons, fire pistol ammo such a 9mm and are also commonly chosen for their concealable storage and their ease to transport.

ASSAULT & BATTLE RIFLES
The Assault Rifle is the new sword of personal combat, and the weapon you'll likely handle if you engage in modern conflict. These effective weapons have an intermediate-power cartridge: more power than a pistol but less than a standard rifle. The Battle Rifle is also trained, using full size rifle ammo with more range and power. Being proficient in both these weapons is an important part of modern combat.

LONG RIFLE - SNIPER RIFLEThe Rifle is a high precision weapon, designed for accuracy at longer ranges than other small arms. This weapon has proven incredibly deadly and effective throughout history leading to many famous male and female Snipers with up to 700 kills in a single career. Long rifle proficiency is an inherent part of both hunting and combat and an important part of firearms training taught at Imperial Combat Arts.

CLOSE QUARTERS FIREARMS
Most pistol deaths occur within 5ft. An average attacker can span 10ft per second. Multiple unarmed opponents often overwhelm men with guns. It is in these rapid close quarters situations that Combat Martial Arts are supreme. These arts are designed to fight multiple armed opponents, and the mastery of maneuvers, evasion, striking, and Chin Na is whats needed to keep firearms in the fight at close range.
|
OBSTACLES & BARRICADES
Cover, Concealment, Obstacles, and Barricades. Understanding how to assess and use your environment is one of the most powerful aspects of mastering gun-battle. Being adept at this area of training offers huge advantages in combat situations. Imperial Combat Arts uses several styles of custom barricades designed to teach the tactics of how to use any environment in battle.
|
RELOADING & MALFUNCTIONS
Weapon manipulation training at Imperial Combat Arts involves several high pressure drills that push students to master all necessary skills for gun-battle including; live-fire judgment, speed drawing, rapid reloading, clearing weapon malfunctions, one handed reloads, low light drills, and reloading on the move. These drills are trained in all 8 types of firearms taught at Imperial Combat Arts.

VEHICLE SHOOTING TACTICS
In and around vehicles are some of the most common places for ambush. Whether its rape, assault, murder, theft, or serving overseas, most vehicles offer little protection and place the occupants in vulnerable and tight quarters. This important aspect of study teaches, shooting from inside vehicles, shooting through auto glass, how and when to dismount, and using vehicles for cover.
|
SHOOTING WITH MOVEMENT
Shooting at the range is basic, standing and shooting. True gun-battle is on the move, you may be moving, as well as your "target". It's fast, and most often a dark, high pressure situation. The range is nothing to seeing a loved one or friend die in front of you. You may hate it but the high pressure training at I.C.A. pushes you to the mental-anguish-waiver-signing -levels required to not freeze up in the face of battle.
|
MOVING TARGETS
If shooting at a target is like punching a bag, shooting at moving targets is one step closer to the fight. This part of class, trains how to lead, predict, envision, and engage moving targets. Furthered by MILSIM , where the targets shoot back, get out of the range, heart pumping 1/4 of real combat, and fight in simulation where the pellets hurt and you learn from the hits that each one could death in the real world.
|
SHOOTING POSITIONS
At Imperial Combat Arts there are numerous shooting positions to fit all types of situations that may occur in gun-battle, and specific positions for different types of terrain. Imperial Combat Arts has already mastered these realms of combat for 100's or years, adding firearms to them is just another, just as bloody, as serious, as quick, and just as real as death by melee.
|
GUN MARKSMANSHIP
Hitting the mark, taking time for the shot, and under fire, as warriors we've trained to die in battle and often its the pause and surrender that wins the fatal blow. The desperate "fight back' self defense idea that people are victims and subject to abuse is a lambs battle. At I.C.A. we create WARRIORS, we live and die as as true warriors. Marksmanship takes a whole new meaning under the pressure of I.C.A.
|
SMALL UNIT TACTICS
Understanding group gun-battle tactics is one of the most important facets of firearms training. Even solo, its crucial to be aware of these tactics so you can fight against them. Small unit tactics include; The four F's, Contact Drills, Ambush & Counter Ambush Drills, Shoot-n-scoot, Infiltration, Leapfrogging, Patrolling, Overwatch, and Guerrilla Tactics. These types of skills represent the true art of gun-battle.
|
FORCE ON FORCE
Simulated combat scenarios are an important facet of training used by military and law enforcement. Imperial Combat Arts uses realistic weapons and private courses to test students in this exciting and challenging part of weapon training.
These intense life-like scenarios allow you pit your skills against other trained people and teams. Nothing will test your firearms abilities more than other trained men. |
GUN DISARMS
Disarming weapons like firearms, knives, clubs, or swords is a part of the extensive study of Chin Na and grappling practiced at Imperial Combat Arts. This training builds off of the ability to control opponents arms, wrists, hands, and fingers in an aggressive combat manner. By mastering the fundamentals of Chin Na our practitioners are able to perform full speed disarms against combative opponents from most any position.
