HOW LONG DO PEOPLE TRAIN AT IMPERIAL COMBAT ARTS?

  • Like with all Martial Arts Schools very few people make it to the highest ranks of Imperial Combat Arts.
  • Like with many schools there have been several 100 beginners and fewer and fewer students as the rank levels increase.
  • There are a total of 27 ranks at Imperial Combat Arts, largely because we teach several martial arts.
  • There is no right or wrong amount of time someone trains any martial art, it's largely a personal choice.
  • People join for all types of reasons, and leave for all kinds of reasons; such as work schedules, moving state, joining the military, they've reached their martial goals, it's hard, or they've learned the style they wanted.
  • Its very rare we have to dismiss any students from training, about 1 in 100. Most people are good people.
  • Occasionally people return to study after completing life goals and regaining time for hobbies.
  • Many former students still love and support the school and attend our functions to reunite or observe.
  • We have nothing but good will toward students who leave, and enjoy our time teaching to whatever level.
  • Very few people decide that teaching martial arts is their calling or career goals. Our highest ranking Instructors have been teaching for over a quarter century now in 2024.
  • There are no contracts to study at Imperial Combat Arts and students are of course free to leave with no obligation or explanation. As Instructors we teach who shows up to class, that's the end of responsibility.
